Whole heart weddings

Bride and Groom holding hands overlooking mountains at sunset

hey there

Hey there.

I’m Christie.

I’m a mom who is obsessed with how adorable her kids are and I’m low-key jealous of their hair. I’d give up wine before I gave up coffee. I’m a secret nerd who named the tables at her wedding after places from Game of Thrones, and walked down the aisle to a song from The Hobbit. I have social anxiety and i’m awkward AF, except behind the camera. That’s where I feel the most like myself. Capturing genuine emotion and connection are what spark joy for me.

I’m here to be more than your photographer. I’ll help you craft a meaningful and deeply personal wedding experience.

I’m also going to be the person that you spend the most time with on your wedding day, so it’s important that we vibe. I’m pretty low key, have a dry sense of humor, and am easy to get along with.

How will you know if we’re a good fit? Well, If you’re a couple who doesn’t take themselves too seriously, live for the candids and moments of laughter, and are planning a wedding full of unique details that reflect your personality and style- I’m the photographer for you.

Yes, ‘elope’ has historically meant “to run away secretly with the intention of getting married usually without parental consent.” But it has also meant—and still means— “to escape.”

-Merriam-Webster dictionary usage notes

You heard it straight from the dictionary. Elopement is about escaping. IMHO the biggest thing you can escape from when planning a wedding are expectations. Over and over again I’ve heard stressed brides say “we should have just eloped.” I was one of those brides. Don’t get me wrong- my wedding day was amazing, but it was also amazingly stressful. Every couple deserves their wedding to be a day for them. I am solidly on team you do you. So close your eyes and think about what feels right. Is that you and your love alone on a cliff at dawn? Courthouse vows followed by tacos and margaritas? A backyard ceremony with your close family and friends? There is no wrong answer as long as it fills your heart with joy.

Your Wedding day should be about YOU.

You’ve probably heard over and over that your wedding day flies by and that is incredibly true! You put a ton of thought, time, and effort into planning and prepping, but what happens after it’s all over?

Photos are the one true item that stand the test of time and transport you back to the day as you experienced it. The look in your partners’s eyes when they see you for the first time, the beaming smiles as you read your vows, and the beautiful surroundings you have chosen as the place your new chapter together. Those are memories you’ll want to savor forever. That’s exactly what my job is; to preserve those invaluable moments for you to relive every day.

San Diego Wedding Bride and Groom standing in a field at sunset

A: Awww I love you too. First email me using this contact form so I can confirm my availability. Next we will schedule a zoom call to get to know each other and find out which package works the best for your elopement. Afterwards I’ll send you a contract to digitally sign and pay a deposit.

A: That depends- If you have a specific date you’re set on you should reach out as soon as you know it so I can verify if i’m available. Most couples book 6 months in advance, but if you’re itching to elope just reach out. If you’re flexible I can often make something work.

A: Every day is different, but your online gallery will typically contain 50-75 photos per hour of coverage.

A: Travel fees are charged for elopements outside of San Diego county and vary by location. Just ask if you have questions!

A: OMG yes. I love being involved in the planning. You can ask me anything and i’m happy to give advice or brainstorm together. At the very minimum we will go through your timeline together as it’s an essential part of the day and we want to get it right.
